TRYING TO LIVE WITH DEPRESSION

"IT"
|
Trying to explain how you feel to people that have never gone through depression is like beating a dead horse. Not wishing anybody bad luck or anything, I think the world owes it to itself to experience this disease at least once in there happy lives. Living with this monster is like being thrown overboard to a beautiful island and a hurricane on the way.
I guess I've been with "IT" most of my life. Sometimes it gets better, but you better not let anybody notice or they will kick your teeth out. Always remember not to let the people who are supposed to love and support you, know you feel anything, it wrecks their day. SO SORRY
If you ever run across someone that knows how you feel, you can bet they won't be of any help. They can be understanding BUT no help.
People say the dumbest things to you. Like "snap out of it" or "don't let it get you down". Little do they know you can't get any lower than down. Let me as a stupid question. Can you snap out of a heart disease? or diabetes or kidney stones? I think NOT.

THE PAIN
|
The pain can be unbearable at times, but very few even notice. Like the husband that goes out and stays out all night or all weekend and you aren't allowed to ask WHY? But he says he loves ME! yea when pigs fly. Ok, so I'm a hopeless romantic as well as depressed person, well I guess I'd better not go as far as calling me a PERSON.
You wait all day for night to come so you can go to sleep and forget about it, BUT then you can't sleep. Then you wait for daylight because your alone in the dark. Actually your alone in a crowd. That is if you can stand a crowd. Sometimes two is a crowd. Christmas shopping is a real trip. Try that without "PROZAC" I find it hard to do with the stuff myself.

My interests have always been to find someone that would love me for me. For 30 years I thought I had a great man. He was never understanding, but a great man. Now that both my parents are gone, he doesn't know what he wants anymore. Isn't that just wonderful. He doesn't want a divorce, he just doesn't want a wife. Go Figure.
What a way to treat your wife.
On a serious note, my interest include my Church. My closest friends, I have five. LOL not really funny, but true just the same. I used to like to play games and have fun, but I was put down for that too. So now I'm just "THE MAID".
